About us
About wordilyx
We are a UK hub for people who make live television: producers, camera operators, vision mixers, sound supervisors and studio managers.
Our story
Practical knowledge from the studio floor
wordilyx began as a set of internal training sessions for a regional news team. Colleagues kept asking for the same thing: clear, hands-on guidance that connects equipment, craft and process rather than treating them separately.
Today we run courses and on-site programmes for broadcasters, production companies and corporate studios across the United Kingdom. Every session is led by working professionals and ends with a live rehearsal, so what you learn is proven under real conditions.

What we teach
Four disciplines, one reliable production
Equipment integration
Cameras, switchers, routers, intercom and playout working as one chain, with every connection documented and tested.
Dynamic camera technique
Smooth moves, motivated framing and confident shot calling for pedestals, jibs and handheld rigs.
Acoustic optimisation
Room treatment and microphone choices that keep dialogue clear on air, even in busy studio spaces.
Lighting setups
Flattering, repeatable lighting plots for news desks, interview sets and entertainment stages.

Reliability is a habit, not a feature
Labelled cables, documented signal paths, tested backups and rehearsed handovers. We teach the small routines that prevent big problems on air.
